Writing a creative about me page has turned out to be far more difficult than I thought.
Let’s start off with the fact that I’m a 27 yr old guy living in Chicago (I’m in the River North area for those of you familiar with “The Windy City”). I am the CEO of an insurance marketing company called InsuranceAgents.com. We have been on an incredible growth spurt these past few years and I have decided to start blogging about my experiences with the company.
The company was featured in last years Inc 500 list as the # 24 fastest growing private company in the US. Growing from a tiny 3 person start-up in a basement to our now 40+ employee operation with two offices has been an incredible journey.
It is the single most difficult and rewarding thing I have ever done. I would say there were far more struggles than achievements, but that is just the nature of business. This blog is designed to talk about the good and the bad, the fun and the tedious, and the celebrations and the devastating moments as well. I like to keep things balanced, so I don’t come across as so many other business blogs do where they simply tell you to chase your dreams, reach for the stars, and all these wonderful things will happen to you… etc… That’s not how business works and you won’t find anything like that on here.
As for a little more personal info about me, I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio and I then went onto Ohio State University in Columbus and Franklin University after that. I left for Chicago in the summer of 2007 to start a new life here and open a Chicago office for our company. Now, I am finally settled down in my new hometown and trying to adjust to the much faster pace of business here.
As for what the future holds, I have no idea. I aspire to do great things in my life and hope that I can create the opportunities to chase them and I look forward to whatever life has to throw at me, good or bad.
